Your email address and a password (stored in scrambled form by our sign-in provider, so nobody can read it). Everything you add to The Desk, which can include names, phone numbers, emails, addresses, clothing sizes, notes, jobs, inventory and photos. Technical details when something breaks, such as the error message, your device type and app version. Anything you choose to send us through Send feedback.
To run the app, save and sync your data across your devices, fix bugs, and show you messages from the team inside the app. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Your data is stored with Supabase, our database and file storage provider, on servers in the United States. Photos are kept in private storage that only your account can open. The website itself is hosted on Netlify.
You can see your data. People you invite into your account can see it. We keep our access to what is needed to run and fix the service, and we only look at your content when you ask us to or when it is needed to fix a problem. Our providers handle data only to run the service for us.
When you share a Rolodex card, the details you chose to share (name, type, contact, phone, email, address, products and locations) travel inside the link, so anyone who has the link can see them. Your private notes are never included. Share only with people you want to have that information.
The optional Save to The Desk extension adds a right-click item on pictures and videos. When you choose it, it opens The Desk and passes along the address of that picture or video, the page address and the page title, so you can pick a board. It does not sign in, does not store your password or any token, does not read the pages you visit, and sends nothing anywhere except to The Desk when you click it.
The Desk keeps a copy of your work on your device and syncs it to your account. We do not currently promise automatic backups of your account data, so please download a copy of your data from Settings now and then, especially before big changes. If we add automatic backups, we will say so here and inside the app. Our hosting provider may keep infrastructure copies for a short time, which we do not control.
In Settings you can download a copy of your data, including photos, and delete your account. Deleting permanently removes your account, your data, your photos and your feedback and error records.
Data travels over encrypted connections and is kept with established providers. Access to your account is protected by your password. No system is perfectly secure, so use a strong password you do not use anywhere else.
The Desk is built for working professionals and is not meant for children under 16.
If we change this policy in an important way, we will tell you inside the app.
